Home of Gorillas
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is a typical rain forest with an annual mean temperature range of a minimum of 7–15°C to a maximum of 20–27°C. Its annual rainfall ranges from 1,400 to 1,900 millimeters. The heavy rains climax from March to April and from September to November.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park lies in southwestern Uganda on the edge of the Albertine Rift. It is commonly known as the Impenetrable Forest because of its dense vegetation. Furthermore, the park borders the Democratic Republic of the Congo on its western side. Meanwhile, Kabale is the nearest major town, located about 29 kilometers away by road. Additionally, the park covers approximately 331 square kilometers of protected forest. It is also situated in the highest parts of the Kigezi Highlands. Overall, the park’s altitude ranges between 1,190 and 2,607 meters above sea level.
The highest point in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park is Rwamunyonyi Hill, located on the park’s eastern edge. Meanwhile, the lowest point lies at the park’s northernmost tip. Additionally, the park is approximately eight to nine hours by road from Entebbe. Alternatively, visitors can reach the area in about one hour by chartered flight. Furthermore, the first and last days of most gorilla tours are usually reserved for travel. Along the journey, visitors may also enjoy brief stopovers and small activities. However, the road journey can be long and sometimes tiring. Nevertheless, the opportunity to encounter mountain gorillas makes the journey truly worthwhile.

Gorilla Trekking
Bwindi impenetrable national park is a home to the mountain Gorillas that inhabit in three countries i.e. Uganda, Rwanda and Congo. This national park offers Gorilla trekking activity. This is an experience where a group of people get to hike/trek through the thick forests
Bird Watching
Bwindi NP is a home to over 320 bird species and 23 species. The bird species include Western Green Tinker bird, African Wood Owl, Archer’s Robin-Chat, Red-throated Alethe, Fine-banded Woodpecker, Grauer’s Rush Warbler, Handsome Francolin, etc
Nature Walk
This National Park has six main hiking trails in the Buhoma region of Bwindi and as you hike through the impenetrable forest, you will get chances of seeing various primate species, beautiful butterflies, various tree species, and you will also have clear views of some bird species singing in the air.
Community tours
The Batwa pygmy people are the ancient in habitant of Bwindi forests but during the gazetted of Bwindi impenetrable national park as a protected area they were forcefully driven out of the forest to the outskirts of the park. The Batwa people regarded as the keepers of the forest are hunter-gathers who majorly depend on hunting wild animals and gathering fruits, even today these people still practice they ancient life style.
Mountain Biking
Mountain biking in Bwindi is one of the most exciting activity through and around the Impenetrable forest that Mountain Gorillas call home This activity is organised by Buhoma Community Rest Camp under Ride 4 a woman group and the ride follows the trail from Buhoma to the Ivy river, get to uncover, a million treasures to behold. The guides will share with their knowledge of the area and the community plus the culture
